Balamandhir

A 10-day summer camp is organised annually for 50 children age 8 -11, to inculcate the eternal values of our cultural and spiritual heritage and to nurture thier innate skills through activities such as yogasana, hymn and verse recitation, painting, storytelling and value-based games. Additionally, to inforce these values and skills, the programme is organised twice a month on Sundays.

The Bala Mandir classes commenced with great enthusiasm, beginning with the worship of “Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.” The children participated in Nama Sankirtanam, joyfully singing devotional hymns around the Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Temple, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

Following the prayers, engaging storytelling sessions were conducted, where the children were narrated stories from the Ramayana. These stories aimed to instill moral values and life lessons in the young minds. Additionally, moral stories were shared to further reinforce ethical and virtuous living.

To keep the children actively engaged, various games and activities were organized. These activities were designed to not only entertain but also to motivate and inspire them towards positive thinking and teamwork. The session, displaying enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. The session concluded on a positive note, leaving the children enriched with spiritual and moral lessons.
