Report of Corona second wave outbreak relief work
To help tackle the Coronavirus second wave, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore is conducting relief work from 12th May 2021. The details are given below:

 Report  from 12th May 2021 to till date

1. Distribution of Cooked food packets form 22-05-2021 to 24-06-2021:
7065 cooked food packets (500 grm/pkt) are distributed daily three times (breakfast, lunch and dinner) to the home quarantined COVID patients and their family members. The places covered are: Periyanaicken Palayam Town Panchayat, No.2 Gudalur Town Panchayat, Naickenpalayam Village Panchayat and Narasimhanaickenpalayam Panchayat. Thus, 368 families are given relief.

2. Medicine distribution from 12-05-2021 to 05-06-2021:
Arsenic Album 30c, a Homeopathy Medicine recommended for boosting immunity, was distributed to 13,872 people residing in and around Periyanaickenpalayam Panchayat Union, Mettupalayam and Masagoundam Chettipalayam Panchayat for 2 months as per details given below:

300-bed COVID isolation centre for asymptomatic patients

3. 300-bed COVID isolation centre for asymptomatic patients:
A 300-bed isolation facility with 24 hour-residential doctors and nurses for asymptomatic COVID patients has been set up in our Vidyalaya Indoor Stadium with the support of District Administration and Emerald Jewel Industry India Limited, Coimbatore. Also, 10 beds are reserved with oxygen support.

The Isolation centre was closed on 19.07.2021. A total of 769 asymptomatic patients underwent treatment.

4. Tele-support for COVID information and Social Work Counselling Services:

The Disaster Management Centre and Guidance and Counselling Cell of Department of Social Work, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts & Science initiated a programme on “Tele-support for COVID information and Social Work Counselling Services” from 1 June, 2021

The faculty members of the Department of Social Work offer information and mental health support to the needy people in this Pandemic.

The programme concentrates on the Coimbatore District and calls from the other Districts of Tamil Nadu are being referred appropriately. Twenty-nine people were benefited till 08 June, 2021.

Covid Medical Kit Distribution :

On 08-07-2021, 272 numbers of Medical Kit containing (Pulse axiometer – 1 No, Digital thermometer – 1 No, Evaporator – 1 No, Sanitizer – 1 Bottle, Face shields – 14 Nos, Vitamin D3 tablet – 1 No, Vitamin C Tablets – 20 Nos, Zinc tablets – 10 Nos, Kabsura powder  – 140 gram pack and Hamam soap – 100 gram pack) were distributed to the Asymptomatic COVID patients at our isolation centre (178 Nos), KTVR isolation centre (12 Nos), Thekkupalyalam (4 Nos), Thoppampatti (20 Nos), Periyanaickenpalayam (20 Nos) and Bharathiar University Covid Care Centre (34 Nos).

Grocery Distribution in Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District:
Distributed in 9 villages (Semmanattham, Malla Samuthiram, Chithirapatti, Kavaa patti, Palacode (Town), Poomarathu pallam, Belluhalli, Chakkili nattham) of Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District on 24 and 25 June 2021. 600 families were benefited.

Grocery Distribution in Coonoor and Ooty Taluk, Nilgiris District:
Distributed in 8 villages (Muttinadu, Athigaratty, Bickole, Godalatty, Nundhala, Mudhugula, Jagadhala, Karakorai) of Coonoor Taluk and 13 villages (Balacola, Meekeri, Manihatty, Bygamund, Osahatty, Kallakorai, Mel Kouatty, Kerada, Manapattu, Achanakal, Kekkatty, Ketti Village, Mukkatty,) of Ooty Taluk, Nilgiris District on 25 June 2021. 426 families and 100 Taxi drivers were benefited.

Grocery Distribution in Kotagiri Taluk, Nilgiris District:
Distributed in 48 villages (Thumboor, Aravenu, Mudiacombai, Selavai, Kallada, Thinniyoor, Bangalada, Sakkatha, Jackanarai, Kairbetta Hosahatty, Kairbetta Palayahatty, Kaggula, Kurukuthi, Nedugula, Hosahatty, Selakorai, Bamudi, Kottanalli, Kerben, Gathukuli, Iruppukal, Thothamukkai, Nattalkal, Uyilatty, Kunnihatty, Kodamalai, Kothacombai, Halakarai, Yedappallu, Kattabettu, Kattabettu Hosahatty, Thogatty, Honnorai, Naduhatti, Billicombai, Degili, Dheenatti, Kookalthorai, Kurumudi, Masakal, Kagguchi, Iduhatti, Ajoor, Kookal, Peddala, Kallatty, Byangi, Seegola) at Kotagiri Taluk, Nilgiris District on 25 and 26 June 2021. 1000 families were benefited.

Distributed in 8 villages (Semmanichetti Palayam, Kurukkam Palayam, Oraikkal Palayam, Kurumba Palayam, Ponnekavundan pudur, Sentham Palayam, Masakkavundan chetti Palayam, Arugam palayam) of Annur Taluk, Coimbatore District on 26 June 2021. 275 families were benefited.
