About 30 milch animals are maintained to serve four purposes:
- hands-on training to our students of the institute of Agriculture and Rural Development;
- milk supply to our hostels to meet a part of their total requirement;
- demonstrating to villages on how to maintain a good low-coast dairy unit in rural areas;
- creating manure for our farms.
