The Diamond Jubilee Block of SRMV College of Arts and Science established with the financial support of Dr. K. Shanmugavelayutham, Alumnus of the Department of Social Work (1975 – 1977 batch) was inaugurated by Rev. Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Ooty on 20.05.2023. Dr. K. Kandappan, Dean, Student Support Services of the College, briefed the audience on the total budget (1.16 crores) and the usage of the new building. A book “Social Worker Valluvar” written by Dr. K. Shanmugavelayutham was released by Rev. Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj. Swami Garishthananda, Secretary of Vidyalaya Institutions, Swami Nirmaleshananda, Secretary of the College, Dr. A. Muthusamy, Principal of the College, Heads of the various institutions of Vidyalaya, Faculty members and students participated in the function.
