11th International Day of Yoga, 2025
(Children With Special Needs)
The 11th International Day of Yoga was celebrated at the Faculty of GAPEY, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Coimbatore Campus on 21st June 2025. A total of 479 participants (191 children with special needs, 106 parents, 18 special education teachers, 148 physical education students and 16 staff members) participated in the programme.

The prescribed yoga protocol by AYUSH like basic Loosening Exercises, Yogasanas, Kapalabhati, Pranayama, Dhyana, Sankalpa, and Shanti Patha was followed and performed by the mass gathering.
Dr. R. Giridharan, Head of the Department, GAPEY, welcomed the gathering, Swami Garishthananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore presided over the function and distributed the certificates to the participants. Swami Karunikananda Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head, RKMVERI – GAPEY and Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, School of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physical Education, Heads of Vidyalaya Institutions were also present.
