Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore conducted Tamil and English Literary Competitions (Speech and Essay writing) to the school children on 26th August 2022 as a mark of celebrating the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission and 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence . The competitions were held at Swami Shivananda Hr. Sec. School premises. The students between the classes VI and XII were divided into three categories (VI, VII and VIII – Category 1, IX & X – Category – 2, XI & XII – Category – 3). 327 boys and girls from 40 schools participated in the competitions. Teachers from Vidyalaya institutions acted as the judges of the competitions.
The Prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Swami Tamoharananda , Secretary, Vidyalaya High School and Swami Dhinathananda, Secretary, Swami Shivananda Hr. Sec. School, Thiru C. Paramasivam, Headmaster, Swami Shivananda Hr. Sec. School, Thiru. Veerakumar, Headmaster, Vidyalaya High School and Thiru. Murali, Headmaster, TATKalanilayam Middle School were also present. All the winners were given away the Prizes and Certificate of Appreciation. The other participants were distributed the Participation Certificates. The function was concluded with National Anthem.
