Sakthi Sangamam: Strengthening Women for a Better Tomorrow
Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, initiated Sakthi Sangamam, a transformative programme dedicated to the holistic development of women by nurturing their spiritual, social, psychological and technological well-being. This initiative aims to empower women by engaging them in different programmes namely the Kuthu Vilakku Puja and Awareness Programmes on Cyber Security, Disaster Management and Food Adulteration.
The Kuthu Vilakku Puja is a spiritual gathering on Full Moon Day (Pournami) that symbolizes purity, wisdom, and inner strength. This sacred practice not only enhances devotion but also provides women with an opportunity to cultivate inner peace, emotional stability and a sense of community bonding.
Moving from spirituality to security, the Awareness Programme on Cyber Security will educate women on digital safety, online fraud prevention, and responsible internet usage. As the digital world expands, this session will ensure that women are well-informed and capable of protecting themselves and their families from cyber threats.
The Awareness Programme on Disaster Management focuses on preparing women for natural and man-made emergencies. By equipping them with knowledge about first aid, emergency response, and disaster preparedness, this session fosters psychological resilience and crisis management skills.
The Awareness Programme on Food Adulteration will help women identify adulterated food, understand its health risks, and promote healthy food habits. Ensuring food safety is a crucial step in safeguarding their families’ well-being, making them more conscious and socially responsible consumers.
By blending traditional values with modern awareness, this initiative fosters a stronger, safer, and healthier society, where women play a crucial role in personal growth and community development, ultimately paving the way for a brighter and more empowered future.
