A SELF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY
Department of Intellectual Disability, FDMSE, organised One day Training Programme for children with intellectual disabilities – SWAVRIDDHI on 07th February 2023 at FDMSE Premises. In total 88 children from special education unit, FDMSE and 11 children from TAT Kalanilayam, 22 children and 5 staff members from Kaumaram Prashanthi Special School, Saravananpatti, Coimbatore, 5 children and 1 staff member from WVS Special School, Coimbatore participated in the event. 54 teacher trainees from the Department of ID conducted the event. Swami Garishthananda Maharaj, Administrative Head, RKMVERI, Coimbatore Campus inaugurated the event. Swami Nirmaleshananda Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head and Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, were present during the inaugural function. Various Indoor and outdoor activities were conducted for the children. In the valedictory function prizes were distributed to the children.
