Government of India had declared in the year 1984, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda will be celebrated as National Youth day (12th January) from 1985 onwards. The Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, periyanaickenpalayam, coimbatore celebrated at Swami Vivekananda Park on 12th January ,2023 at 06.30 am with the following programmes.
Swamiji Park
Arathi – Revered swami Jnanapurnananda
Swamiji’s sayings: Selvan J.C.Vaeydanth Bellie, Selvan E. Abhiram Selvi T. Kaviya shree and Selvi M. V. Thanushree
Oath: Selvan V.V.S.Sreejjan Bala.
Revered Swami Garishthananda , Monks, Heads of Institutions, Staff members. Students of Vidyalaya High School and Swami Shivananda Hr. Sec. School and devotees from Vidyalaya Quarters attended the function.
National Youth Day was celebrated at four villages as follow:
Arivozhi Nagar
In Arivozhi Nagar, National Youth Day was celebrated at Panchayat Union Middle school at 10.00 am, The following Competitions were conducted on 10.01.2023
- Recitation of Swamiji’s sayings
- Elocution on Swami Vivekananda’s message
- Fancy Dress
- Drawing Competitions
In the programme Swami Bhaktivratananda, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Dr. R. Ayyappan, Assistant Professor, College of Education delivered the special address and youth day address respectively. Also swamiji’s distributed the prizes to the winners of various competitions. At the end all the participants took the National youth day oath. School teachers, students and public totally 200 members participated in the programme. Sweets were distributed to all the participants.
Lingapuram
National Youth Day was celebrated at Panchayat Union Middle school at 02.00 pm, near sirumugai. The following Competitions were conducted on 10.01.2023

- Drawing Competitions
In the programme Swami Buddhidananda, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Dr. S. Gopi, Assistant Professor, College of Arts and Science were delivered the special address and youth day address respectively. Also Swamiji’s distributed the prizes to the winners of various competitions. School teachers, students and public totally 200 members participated in the programme. Sweets were distributed to all the participants.
Thekkupalayam
National Youth Day was celebrated at Panchayat Union Middle school at 06.00 pm. The following Competitions were conducted on 08.01.2023

In the programme Swami Narayanananda, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Sri A. Arivarasu, President, Gudaloor Municipality and Dr. T. Thangamani, Assistant Professor, Maruthi College of Physical Education delivered the special address, chief guest address and youth day address respectively. Also Swamiji’s and Sri A. Arivarasu, distributed the prizes to the winners of various competitions. The participants around 250 took the National youth day oath. Sweets were distributed to all the participants.
Samichettipalayam
National Youth Day was celebrated at Samichettipalayam at 07.00 pm. The following Competitions were conducted on 08.01.2023

Rajavel, Assistant Professor, College of Arts and Science delivered the special address, chief guest address and youth day address respectively. Swamiji’s and Sri A. Arivarasu, distributed the prizes to the winners of various competitions. The participants around 250 took the National youth day oath. Sweets were distributed to all the participants.
