The 18th Convocation of the four Faculties of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Coimbatore Campus namely Faculty of Disability Management and Special Education, Faculty of General and Adapted Physical Education and Yoga, Faculty of Agriculture, Rural and Tribal Development and Department of Computer Science was held in a blended mode at GKD Auditorium, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore on 11th October 2023. The Convocation Ceremony started with the prayer song by Vidyalaya Music Teachers followed by chanting of Taittiriya Upanishad by the monks of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya.
Swami Sarvottamanandaji Maharaj, Vice Chancellor, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur, delivered the welcome address. Swami Kaleshanandaji Maharaj, Registrar, RKMVERI, presented the profile of the University. The Convocation address was delivered by Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi.
Next to that, Revered Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Math and Chancellor, RKMVERI, Belur, Kolkata, delivered the Chancellor’s Address through virtual mode. The pledge was administered by Revered Swami Atmapriyanandaji Maharaj, Pro-Chancellor, RKMVERI, Belur, through virtual mode followed by the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, School of Rehabilitation and Sports Science.
Swami Garishthanandaji Maharaj, Administrative Head of RKMVERI, Coimbatore Campus and Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore and Swami Nirmaleshanandaji Maharaj Asst. Administrative Head of RKMVERI, Coimbatore Campus and Asst. Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore were also present during the ceremony.
In total 228 students, (28 students from FDMSE, 127 students from GAPEY, 51 from the ARTD and 22 students from DCS) received their degrees during the Convocation Ceremony.
