Inaugural function of the year-long celebrations of 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission and 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav)

To commemorate the 125th year of Ramakrishna Mission and 75th year of Indian Independence, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya has planned yearlong programmes. On 1st May, the foundation day of Ramakrishna Mission, the programmes were announced in a public meeting.

  • Revered Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission presided and addressed the meeting with his words of benediction.
  • Sri Pradip Kumar, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore District delivered a talk on the significance of Indian Freedom and Role of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya in imparting character-building education.

On this holy occasion,

  • a book titled ‘Ramakrishna Mission – The Genesis of an Ascetic Order’ and published by Ramakrishna Math, Chennai was released.
  • ‘’தேமதுரத் தமிழோசை உலகமெல்லாம் பரவும் வகை செய்தல் வேண்டும் (Rhythm of Tamil language should be spread all over the world)”– a weekly blog to promote Tamil language and its literary richness was initiated.
  • Tuition centres were started in Naickenpalayam and Vivekanandapuram villages
  • Yearlong medical camps were started in Sri Bharathi Nagar, Samichettipalayam and Govindanaickenpalayam and Kandhavayal tribal area.
