A Scheme entitled ‘Sister Nivedita Anna Yojana for Aged Destitutes’ was launched on 19 June 2017 in commemoration of Sister Nivedita’s 150th Birthday celebrations.
The objective of the scheme is to provide free lunch to abandoned, orphaned and diseased aged people. Food packets were distributed to around 50 needy people residing in nearby villages of vidyalaya at their door steps. This scheme is proposed to be continued throughout the year on all days except Sundays.
