11th September, also recognised as the ‘Universal Brotherhood Day’, in the memory of Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago on 11th September 1893, was celebrated in Vidyalaya. Oratorical competitions based on selected passages from Swami Vivekananda’s works were held at school, post-matric and college level in both English and Tamil.
