11th September, also recognised as the ‘Universal Brotherhood Day’, in the memory of Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago on 11th September 1893, was celebrated in Vidyalaya.
Oratorical competitions based on selected passages from Swami Vivekananda’s works were held at school, post-matric and college level in both English and Tamil.
In the preliminary round, 808 students participated, out of which 30 students were selected for the final round.
The final round winners of the competitions were given mementos, books and cash prizes.

State Level Quiz Competitions (Online) on 11th September 2023
In commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address an online Quiz competition was organised on 11-9-2023 on the topic Swami Vivekananda’s Life and Messages.
A total number of 1031 participants registered out of which 688 competitors appeared for the competition.

State Level Recitation Competitions (Online) on 11th September 2023
In commemoration of World Brotherhood Day, an online recitation competition on Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address was held on 11-9-2023 for Std. XI and XII students. A total number of 147 registered their names and 109 appeared in the competition. The final round for 15 students was held on 15-9-2023. The following is the list of winners.
